#iPhone Apps [टाइप नेपाली र अन्य]

The race for best smartphone contest is hugely determined by the applications (so called apps) , their development, availability and price. While most smartphones today are equipped with common hardwares like wifi and 3g internet dongles, >3MP cameras, HD videos, bluetooth, usb connectivity, gyroscopes, accelerometers and compass, sufficient storages and media players; the community of app developers has not been so much in light. The case of iPhone is its stubbornness to monopolize its domain. The row with Adobe's flash players in iphone and bluetooth not connecting to other phones are few examples. The process of registering as an iPhone app-developer itself is very tedious. Nokia's not so popular as a smartphone because of its dull Symbian OS, Google wants to thumb Apple's iOS by providing a better platform for its Android app developers. A jailbroken iPhone adds many cool features to an iPhone but then users compromise with other security and warranty void issues. While the future seems a little bit dark for Apple (if it doesnt come out of its cocoon), iPhone is still an apple-of-an-eye for many ! I bring you a few useful apps from my iPhone 3G (iOS4.1):

1. Type Nepali :
Normally, the keyboard can be changed under Settings -> General -> Keyboard -> International Keyboards -> Add New Keyboard .... but it does not cover Nepalese keyboard layout. But now with this new app developed by Raj Bala, one can type text, copy it and send mail or update Facebook, Twitter status etc.
Sending SMS to Nokia's N73 delivered boxes. (may be newer Symbian OS's support these characters, try and let us know.)
Works only above iOS 4.0.

Download from App Store in iPhone or in iTunes from **here**

2. Nepali FM
Developed by Deepak Dhakal, this app is very useful to tune into Nepali FM's from anywhere if one has internet access. Currently Listed Kantipur FM, Hits FM,  Sagarmatna FM, Kalika FM, Ujyalo Fm etc...

3. Angry Birds
The most popular iPhone game ever, available in iPads, Wii everywhere now a days. The free version has a few levels but its worth paying $0.99 for 210 levels. :D
Load the birds into catapult and kill the pigs. You will be charged to know that this has to do with Jews and Palestinians peace talks  :P

4. Unblock Me
It is quite a hassle to get that dark brown brick out of that block by arranging all the pieces. At least at higher levels. There are more than 7800 puzzles.

5.Geared
The free version of this game has 40 levels. The aim is to arrange different sized gears and make all the wheels turning. Quite easy but interesting.

6. iBowl Classic
This is a fine example of accelerometer in iPhone. Hold the ball and swing your arms just before releasing. Make sure you dont drop the expensive gadget.

7. Cube Runner
Another beautiful implementation of accelerometer.

8. Ferrari GT Evolution
This car race will keep you moving, tilting your hands forever :)

9. iCopter
That mouse killer addicting game in flash during C++ practical hours :P has hit iPhone and makes me nostalgic :D

10.Su Doku
Exercise your brain with different levels of difficulties.

At last, of course it has TWITTER, FACEBOOK, GOOGLE VOICE SEARCH etc ....
