लाँकुरी रुट्स: Uniqueness

Uniqueness

Amidst these sleepless nights, I used to think if I do some physical jobs, exercises then the lethargy would ultimately take me into deep sleep. That was my concept and it has been always so. When I write this article, I am as good as dead more than one can imagine. Feels like I can rip parts off my body in millimeters scale and tune them. Everything hurts. Still lying flat in bed doesn't take me to the fairy dream lands. There are still some images, thoughts and I-dont-know-what in my mind that keep me awake. I honestly don't know what. It has been so when I was back in Nepal as well. Lets get to the root of what 'philosophy' I want to share via this article today. The lethargy in me is a product of 3 hours of indoor football.

I am a big big football fan as you might have known if you follow me in twitter or facebook. I sometimes bore my followers and friends with my stances of how players attitude should be in football field, how they should react to referees decisions and so on. This makes me a fan of Liverpool and 'disliker' of Manchester United. It has its own reasons behind it which I wont go in deep now. The other 'woooh' and 'waaah' when I watch live football matches is the players reaction to a certain situation. When looking on television it seems like if a player just stretched his leg or just shoot the ball then he would get the ball and score. That's what we think right? It looks so do-able and it is too. The other thing is stupid passes sometimes the players make, a skillfull friend is free to run and score then they end up giving a wrong pass and remain goalless. And, of course the 'self' and the ego in us ticks us in mind that 'If I was in that field, I definitely (100%) wouldn't do such a mistake'. I cant tell for others, but thats what I feel :P When I see Torres wandering lazily in front (these days) I say 'common dude, get a life! that was so close' and so on....and that's the right gossip too. When I got on the field today (after long time), I made the same mistakes, the ball just flew past me several times, I missed several chances and just let it go. *sigh*

So, my theological post-analysis of the match brings me to 'Why did I do that?' and 'Why does everyone do that?' Everyone does ! Its very very easy to imagine than to put it into action. I mean, in everyday life how many slips do you on the same potholes that you knew about ? This applies in every field, every aspect of life. This thought is also a product of a news a few days back !  (follow link to know more)

The Communist Party of Nepal (UML)'s so called future and the whole nations hopeful  leader Yogesh Bhattarai used his political powers and dirty games to win a trip to China in the name of Asian Games. He went as a coach, caretaker or whatever with the players (and his wife) and enjoyed the Chinese hospitality. He was in no direction or sense related to the sports committee. Yet, he went (just like the old leaders did) and showed his true colors. Had he not have the same thoughts like us " If I ever be in that position, I would do this and that" ? Of course he had  ! Gagan Thapa has ! You have ! I have!

There are countless such examples that human have failed to act right at the right time. This lowly act of a student leader like Yogesh Bhattarai has doomed all the hopes of a bright future for our country. I have seen some 'uprising' could-be leaders, its very sad that they all act just like the 601+ illiterate fools once they recognize themselves as being politically affiliated. Yogesh Bhattarai's case just got the light.

On the other hand, this nature of us 'acting like self' at the critical time, is what adds flavor to life, its that MATTER which makes the world tick. It is what makes an incident unique, the persons related unique of all. If everyone stick to the rules of decency and honesty, wouldnt they look all the same ? But everyone finds a new way to deceive the theory and be unique.

Many of us curse the system we have in Nepal at this moment, the old leaders, the newly elected ones and the lowly parliament members who physically assaulted Finance Minister Surendra Pandey >> video << on the announcement of 'already late' fiscal year's national budget. Looking at the acts of these people we say 'If I was a minister, parliament member or a part of constitution body; I would do so and so'... but do we ? Had those Maoist leaders not thought of acting literate, decent when they were struggling in jungle ? Had Ramchandra Poudel not thought of being decent, respected leader when he was young ? Of course they had ! But look what they turned up to !!!!! I think once we get into the system, we end up blending ourselves into the environment. Just like a leopard has rosettes and a grasshopper is green.
I think the making of a leader is more like a chicken on a production belt, that thinks it will fly away just before being crushed. And when the time comes, they realize that their energy has been drained, the wings dont work anymore. And end up being grinded on the same wheels of corruption and power misuse.
It is easy to have a unique theory of an instance but difficult to do so when time comes. Because in the end, like I said, we end up becoming ourselves. So the biggest deal here for future leaders, entrepreneurs, businessmen,  engineers, doctors is the change the inner them which exists only in fantasies till now. I hope that other uprising personnels linked to nation building have been living their lives upto their thoughts and the ideological models that they think will be. All the best to the buds, youth leaders (and players) ! You have a chance to be unique, the YOU that YOU want to be ! Act right when time comes and make us proud !

(On this note, it is 2:00 AM and the inner me wants to sleep, good night everyone !)  ;)  ;)

You have posted worng info about Mr. Yogesh Bhattarai. According to the picture you have posted on here, he was invited by ANMA convention in Kentucky U.S.A. and addressed the convention in 2010.

He did not go to China with the playes. I think you need to make correction. Thanks.

  4. Lama jee,
The picture is irrelevant to the content. I googled his picture and linked directly. It was such a fuss in the media then. However, for further clarification, the so called ANMA convention was held in September, 2010 in US while the ASIAN GAMES took place in China in November, 2010. Thank you for reading.
